Men's tennis loses at Nazareth

PITTSFORD, NY -- The RIT men's tennis team was defeated by Nazareth College 5-4 in Empire 8 action on Wednesday afternoon. The loss drops the Tigers to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the Empire.

In singles action RIT's lone win came at third singles. Clayton Tontarski (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) defeated Steve Trobert 6-1, 6-4.

The Tigers won all three doubles matches. Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International) and Tontarski defeated the team of McCormick and Mulligane 8-5. John Albers (Grands Rapids, MI/Forest Hills) and Larry Hall (Fairport, NY/Fairport) defeated Landry and Mancus at second doubles 8-4. Will Abisalih (Merrimac, MA/Phillips Exeter Academy) and Adam Wolf (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush) were victorious at third doubles defeating Beaver and Trobert 8-2.

RIT will host SUNY Oswego on Thursday, April 15 at RIT Courts at 4 pm.
