Dempsey named RACA Male Athlete of the Week
ROCHESTER, NY - Sophomore pole vaulter #Michael Dempsey# of the RIT men's track and field team was named the Rochester Area Colleges Athletics (RACA) Male Athlete of the Week on Monday for the week ending March 7, 2010.

ROCHESTER, NY - Sophomore pole vaulter Michael Dempsey of the RIT men's track and field team was named the Rochester Area Colleges Athletics (RACA) Male Athlete of the Week on Monday for the week ending March 7, 2010.
Last weekend, Dempsey qualified and broke his own school record with a leap of 5.02 meters in winning the event at the ECAC Championships. That leap is the fourth highest in all of Division III this season.
Dempsey will compete in the 2010 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. The pole vault is on Friday at 10 a.m.
