Women's lacrosse loses first game of the season at Buffalo State
BUFFALO, NY -- The RIT women's lacrosse team dropped its first game of the season, losing at Buffalo State (1-0) 10-6 on Friday afternoon. The loss drops the Tigers to 2-1 on the season.

Senior midfielder
Ashley Pezze (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland) led RIT with two goals and an assist. She also had four draw controls and four ground balls.
Allyson Pisher (Holley, NY/Holley) had a goal and an assist and
Rebecca Lampson (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy),
Loren Azlein (Cleveland, OH/Gilmour Academy) and
Eileen Hennigan (Liverpool, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) each had a goal. Freshman goalie
Katelyn Crane (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) took the loss allowing 10 goals and making five saves.
The Tigers trailed 7-3 at half time, allowing the first four goals of the contest, and never recovered, despite out-shooting the Bengals 23-20. RIT won the ground ball battle 26-21, and won 13 draw controls and were 11-of-13 on clearing opportunities.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 20 at 1 pm versus the University of Rochester.
