ROCHESTER, NY - Junior forward Andrew Favot (King City, Ontario) of the RIT men's hockey team was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Player and Rochester Area Colleges Athletics (RACA) Male Athlete of the Week on Monday for the week ending Feb. 7, 2010.  It is Favot's second weekly honor of the season, and fourth of his three-year career.

Favot recorded his third five-point weekend of the season, with three goals and two assists during a split at Sacred Heart. On Friday, he set a career-high with four points (2-2-4) and scored the eventual game-winning goal in a 5-2 win over the Pioneers, breaking their 12-game unbeaten streak. On Saturday, Favot tied the game at 3 with a power-play goal late in the second period. He has 11 points over his last six games (4-7-11) and leads the Tigers with 30 points (9-21-30) in 27 games this season.

The Tigers return to action on Friday and Saturday, as they head to Army to play the Black Knights in a pair of contests.  Both games begin at 7:05 p.m.
