Try Rowing at RIT--No Experience Necessary!!
Meetings for all interested athletes Thursday, September 10 or Friday, September 11 at 7 p.m. in the Student Life Center Classroom #1325.
Men's rowing is a varsity sport at RIT and every year we actively seek fit, athletic men regardless of previous rowing experience to join our team. Many athletes have not rowed before college; you will have the chance to learn with other novices in the same situation. We travel with the rest of the varsity team and race other collegiate novices throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to learn something new, make new friends, have fun and stay in shape!
As a novice rower at RIT, you are part of the athletic department just like all the other varsity sport athletes. We practice both on and off the water—and have a beautiful boathouse and great indoor facilities!
If you are interested, or you have questions, please contact Novice Men’s Coach, Brendon Evans, at 607-725-2848 (cell) or
evans.brendon@gmail.com. You can also call the office at 585-475-7360.
