The RIT men's tennis team (7-3, 5-2 Empire 8) extended its winning streak to six matches with a 9-0 win over Nazareth (3-15, 2-5 Empire 8) at the RIT Courts on Tuesday afternoon.  It is the second straight season RIT has rattled off a six-match winning streak.  RIT won eight straight in 2005.

The other two freshmen to start in singles, Clayton Tontarski (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) (Rochester, NY/Rush Henrietta) and Max Bogue (Colchester, VT/Colchester) (Colchester, VT/Colchester) won their matches by scores of 6-3, 5-7, 10-4, and 6-3, 6-0 respectively.

Senior Jose Guzman (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) stepped above the .500 mark for the first time this season, winning a hard fought battle in first singles against Adam Landry. Guzman dropped the first set 3-6, but came back to win the second set 6-4, and the third and deciding set 10-5.

Sophomore Joshua Goldstein (Miami, FL/Palmer Trinity) (Miami, FL/Palmer Trinity) rounded up the shutout victory for the tigers, with a 2-6, 6-2, 10-6 win against Dan Matteo in sixth singles.
