HIGHLAND HILLS, OH - Junior #
Jouhan Allende (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy)# enjoyed a strong finish to her 2009 season, as she raced at the NCAA Championship at Highland Hills Golf Course on Saturday. She sped through the difficult and muddy course in a solid time of 24:06. This time placed her at 156 out of 280 contenders. Allende had a great finish as she picked off several packs of girls in front of her.
Coach
Dave Stevens was extremely pleased with Allende's performance. “I am very proud of Jojo," said Stevens. "This was a great learning experience for her. I expect she will use this experience to help her and her team next season.”
Allende has had to overcome several personal ailments including several injuries that have prevented her from completing a cross country season yet. Although she will be on co-op during the winter, Allende and her teammates are looking forward to her return in the spring and the contributions she will make during the spring track season.
