ROCHESTER, NY -- RIT women's soccer player, Emily Traversi (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough) (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough) was named the Rochester Area College Athletics Female Athlete of the Week on Tuesday for the week ending October 26, 2008.

Traversi scored the Tigers' first hat trick in more than five years, scoring all three of her goals in the second half in a 6-1 win over Alfred University.

The senior forward leads RIT this season with 18 points (eight goals, two assists) and has moved into a tie for fourth all-time with 52 career points.

RIT is 8-5-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the Empire 8. The Tigers will host Empire 8 rival Nazareth College on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 pm on RIT Field. RIT will close out the regular season on Saturday, November 1st as they host Elmira College at 1 pm on RIT Field.
